Negotiating structure


The negotiating structure for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union was established by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on 7 April 2005 (Official Gazette No 49/05).

 

This Decision sets down the composition and competences of the bodies that form the structure for the negotiations and which are entitled to sign the Accession Treaty of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. The Decision also assigns the role of competent and co-competent bodies of individual negotiating chapters to state administrative bodies and other bodies or institutions.

 

The following bodies have been established:

The members of the bodies of the negotiating structure were appointed by the Decision on the Appointment of Members of the State Delegation of the Republic of Croatia for Negotiations on the Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, Members of the Negotiating Team for the Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, Heads of the Working Groups for the Preparation of Negotiations on Individual Chapters of the acquis communautaire, Members of the Office of the Chief Negotiator, and Members of the Secretariat of the Negotiating Team (Official Gazette No 49/05 and 120/05).
