The Negotiating Team for the Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union is responsible for negotiations at an expert and technical level with EU institutions and Member States of the European Union on all negotiating chapters. It considers and adopts draft negotiating positions and submits them to the Coordinating Committe on Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. The Negotiating Team also reports to the State Delegation and Government of the Republic of Croatia on the course of the negotiations.
Members of the Negotiating Team are responsible for the coordination of particular clusters of negotiating chapters and provide expert support to the Chief Negotiator, participate in negotiations on the basis of instructions from the Chief Negotiator, coordinate the work of working groups for the preparation of negotiations on individual negotiating chapters, cooperate with EU coordinators in the state administration bodies, and are responsible for the drafting of the negotiating positions and related reports.
